Welcome to the Virology Laboratory's website

Cultivation of respiratory viruses is only carried out a few places in Denmark, as it requires special laboratory facilities. Such a laboratory has existed at the Clinical Microbiology Department at Odense University Hospital since 2020, when COVID-19 emerged.

In the laboratory, research is conducted in areas such as contagiousness and immunity after illness or vaccination.
